Fitment
High-pressure pump for the Colorado RG 2.8L LWN, primary number 294000-1680. This is the pump itself; the suction control (metering) valve is sold separately.
What this part does
The high-pressure pump supplies the common rail with diesel at the pressure the engine management system asks for. Internal wear, poor supply pressure or contamination can cause hard starting, power loss and rail-pressure fault codes. Fault codes alone don't prove the pump has failed, so the low-pressure supply, filter and metering valve should be checked first.
Fitting
Before fitting a pump, check the fuel supply, filter condition and rail pressure behaviour, and look for metal debris. If a failed pump has contaminated the system, the rail, lines and injectors may need cleaning or replacing too. We recommend professional installation and the correct priming procedure.
